Let's spend your day off with us... Actually, this trip is to make a votive offering at Phrathat Doi Kham. As we have a limited of time we only have plan for Phrathat Doi Kham and visit Mon Ngo Royal Project Development Center
We departure from Bangkok on Friday evening and arriving to Chiang Mai in as early morning. We find a hotel to stay in the city center near by Tha Phae Gate so we decide to stay at The Small Chiang Mai. The hotel is located on Tha Phae Road near by Night Barza Market. It is a twin tower next to UFN Bakery House.

There is a small pool on the third floor at the back of the hotel.
Restaurant is on the fifth floor.
After breakfast, my friend comes to pick me up and we walk to Wat Buppharam which is one of an ancient temple in Chiang Mai. The temple was built in 1517 located in the Economic Zone.
Wat Saen Fang is another temple that located in this area as well.
Phrajadede Mongkolsaenmahachai is an important historical site which is located in the temple. It was built in Burmese Style by using white cement.
Next mission is to make a votive offering at Wat Phrathat Doi Kham. You have to buy flowers or garlands before go up to the temple.
You can visit for worshiping and enjoy the view of Chiang Mai....
Having Lunch at Oh ka Jhu Restaurant or Oh ka Jhu Garden which is well know as organic garden with the concept of plant for MOM and now plant for DAD. There are two branch, one near the airport and another one is Nong Jom Intersection. For the menu, they use organic vegetables as an ingredient in every dishes. This is another health restaurant that you should not miss.
Recommended menu is Barbecue Spare Ribs....WOW!!!
After that we move on to Mon Ngo Royal Project Development Center, Monngo Village, Mueang Kay, Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai. It is about 67 KM. from the city center, it takes us about 2 hrs to get there. We drive on road no. 107 Chiang Mai - Mae Taeng then turn left at Talad Mae Malai Intersection and continue on road no. 1095 Mae Malai - Pai for 12 KM. After passing Wat Sob Perng, turn right and continue for 17KM. then we will arrive at Monngo Royal Project Center (All types of car can be reached)
For place to stay, there are both bungalows and camping area up here. There are 5 bungalows for rental at 800 THB with capacity of 4 people. Moreover, there is also a restaurant where we can order food to the bungalow. It is already dark when we arrive and the weather is quite cold. In the morning, we rent a car to Mon Ngo to see the sunrise (700 THB per car).

At 5.00am. we are heading to Mon Ngo, it takes about 20 minutes. As we have mentioned above that there is also camping area, it is only 100 THB per person if you rent it here or 150 THB per tent if you have your own tent.
Arriving at the sunrise point .... The wonderful viewpoint with Mexican sunflower and foggy sea...
200 meters walk from the viewpoint is the top of Mon Ngo.
Do not forget to take a photo and check in so that means you are here ^_^
Another viewpoint that they are building the balcony protrudes from the cliff for tourists to enjoy the view closer.
Mon Ngo Viewpoint is 1,425 meters height above sea level and away from Mon Ngo Royal Project Center about 7 KM. It is another interesting natural trail where we can enjoy good view, good weather and beautiful sunrise with foggy sea. We can see Doi Inthanon to the West, Doi Hompok to the North, next is Doi Luang Chiang Dow to the East and many others mountains that we can see them from here. Moreover, we also can see the beautiful sunset from here as well.

It is time to go down and get everything pack.
During the way back, there is a village that plant orchid for Mon Ngo Royal Project so we stop by for a while.

Next station is Lung Det Tea Yard, which only 3 KM. away from the royal project center. It is a step tea yard that plants on the mountain. There is also resort and restaurant provided. Lung Det always come out greet and welcome guests by himself and recommend a good tea and coffee especially white tea from his yard and coffee from his garden as here roasted by him. The smell is really good and assuredly you will not be disappointed with the taste.

After that, we are heading back into Chiang Mai city center. As our flight is 9.00pm. so we still have time to find some places to visit for killing times.
Dara Pirom Palace Museum, Mae Rim, Chiang Mai
Open: Tuesday - Sunday
From: 9.00am. - 5.00pm.
*** Do not allow to take any photos inside the palace
Dara Pirom Palace was built by King Rama VI and gave to Princess Dara Rasmi as she moved back to Chiang Mai after the dead of King Rama V.
There is an exhibition of ancient weaving method and process at the first floor of the palace.
It is time to go home T_T
