Day 1

We gathered at the BTS Mo Chit parking lot around 10:00 PM to board a van and travel to Phu Soi Dao National Park, arriving in time to ascend the mountain in the morning.

Around 6:00 AM, we reached the Chat Trakan Market, where we freshened up, brushed our teeth, and fueled up for the day ahead.

Here's our energy boost: iced milk tea, soft-boiled egg, and grilled chicken with sticky rice.

We continued our journey until we reached the park headquarters. I thought we were early and there wouldn't be many people, but I was surprised to see a large crowd.

We are preparing to weigh our luggage and the items that the porters will carry up the mountain.

After completing the registration process, we waited for the official vehicle to take us to the starting point of the Phusoidao Waterfall hike.

The ascent to Phu Soi Dao requires a 6.5 km hike. The mountain stands at 2,102 meters above sea level, making it the fourth highest peak in Thailand. The trail consists of five slopes.

Renowned for their grueling nature, Death Hill and Khao Nang Phanthurat challenge even the most seasoned runners.

Upon arrival, we took a short break to rest. We then pitched our tents, unpacked our belongings, and prepared to cook dinner together.

Day 2

At 4:45 AM, the air outside the tent was pleasantly cool, with a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius. We left the tent to prepare to wash our faces and brush our teeth at the stream, getting ready to watch the sunrise at the viewpoint.

We decided to wait for the sunrise at the sunset viewpoint, as the local vendor informed us that this spot also offered a view of the rising sun.

We waited until around 7 am, but the sun still refused to show itself. The thick fog that had blanketed the mountain the previous day remained, obscuring our view.

After a while, the sun emerged, gracing us with its light for approximately two minutes.

Let's head back to our tent and have breakfast.

This morning's menu features instant noodles and stir-fried noodles. Judging by everyone's expressions, it's safe to say they're enjoying the meal.

After finishing their meal, they helped the vendor pack up and then all headed down together.

Descending is no less tiring than ascending, as it requires constant leg engagement.
