Hello friends, Readme. At the end of April, Jum and her family went to Chanthaburi. This is the third consecutive year that we have visited. In the past two years, we went to eat a fruit buffet, but this year we decided to skip it. This time we stayed in Chanthaburi for two nights, but we were diligent and moved to two different accommodations. In this review, we will take a look at our first night's accommodation and see how the two places we stayed differed in terms of atmosphere and memorability.

We departed from Bangkok around 8:00 AM, stopping for breakfast and coffee at a motorway rest stop. We then continued our journey to our first destination, the Pink Rock Field.

The Pink Rock Field is located within the Kung Kraben Wildlife Sanctuary, managed by the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, in Tha Mai District. It is important to note that this is a different location from the Kung Kraben Bay Development Study Center. The Pink Rock Field is a section of reddish-pink rocks along the seashore, forming part of a 1 km nature trail within the wildlife sanctuary. This circular trail allows visitors to choose between walking along the beach to view the Pink Rock Field first or ascending the hill to reach a scenic viewpoint before descending to the Pink Rock Field.

Before entering the stone field, we had to pay an entrance fee. We went by van, with a total of 10 members excluding the driver. Two of the members, my aunt and mother, were 80 and 74 years old, respectively, and were exempt from the entrance fee. The total entrance fee paid was 160 baht.

After paying the entrance fee, we walked a short distance to the parking lot. Fortunately, when we arrived around 11 am, the sky was overcast, which was a welcome relief from the heat. The trail was mostly unshaded, except for a few sections with trees. The open areas were exposed to the sun, but the cloudy sky made for better photos. 55555

This location also offers accommodation options, however, I was unable to gather details regarding the contact information or booking process.

We did not take the nature trail because my 74-year-old mother wanted to see the pink rocks, and I needed to take her to a less strenuous location that did not require climbing. My 80-year-old aunt, as usual, sat by the sea chatting with the van driver.

Ah! I just saw a flash of pink.

Just around the bend, there it is! Pink, truly pink.

Mom loves it! She said she's never seen this color before... well, I haven't either, Mom! 55555

The journey continues.

After analyzing the color of the rocks, I searched for information on Google and found that these rocks are arkose sandstones with a high iron content, which gives them a reddish-pink color.

A small climb that will challenge the elderly.

Fortunately, as a light drizzle began to fall, we walked back to the spot with shade.

After leaving the pink rock field, we stopped for a papaya salad along the way, but there are no pictures to share because we were soooo hungry. Then we headed to our first night's accommodation, Baan Pa Rim Tarn Homestay, or The Cabin Creek.

The Cabin Creek Homestay, also known as Baan Pa Rim Tarn Homestay, is part of the Tung Pler Homestay cooperative. Getting there is easy. Drive along Sukhumvit Road until you reach the Sam Yaek Pak Saeng intersection. Turn left onto Highway 317 and pass through Makham District. Continue driving and watch for the sign for Wat Khao Banjob on the left. Turn left onto this road and follow the signs for the homestay. You will see many signs along the way, so just keep an eye out and you will reach your destination.

After parking the car, we were escorted to our accommodation. We settled the remaining payment for our stay at the house itself. We were informed that dinner would be served at 6 pm. The house we were staying in was called "Baan Thalok," the meaning of which remains unknown. Baan Thalok is a three-story house. The ground floor serves as the dining area, while the second and third floors house the bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, conveniently located on each floor.

The Baan Pa Rim Tarn offers accommodation for five people per floor. Let's take a look at the rooms... There is one large bed per floor, and additional mattresses are provided.

The bathroom is equipped with a water heater, shower gel, shampoo, and towels.

The television has two floors.

The bottom floor serves as a dining room for breakfast and dinner.

While I was enjoying a soak in the water, a fish suddenly nibbled at my leg, making me jump in surprise. 555555

The water pressure was low and the volume wasn't high, likely due to it being the end of April. However, we still had a lot of fun.

After crawling back up from the stream, dinner was already laid out on the dining table. By the time we finished showering and getting ready, the food was completely cold. 55555

Jumm's older sister doesn't eat pork, so she ordered an extra stir-fried vegetable dish with only vegetables and no pork. It arrived hot and was very delicious.

Chicken cardamom soup, similar in taste to chicken galangal soup, but bland and without any sourness.

Baan Pa Rim Tarn provided two sets of food. Overall, the food was not very satisfying, possibly because everything was left to cool down. The only dish we enjoyed was the stir-fried vegetables, which we ordered separately and arrived hot. Despite the lukewarm food, we were famished from swimming and devoured everything.

Good morning from the lush forest. It's a bright morning surrounded by trees and a little snake that slithered slowly and happily on the balcony of the house. We watched it crawl until it went beyond the balcony. For those who have small children going to places like this, you have to be careful. But we don't bother each other. Each goes its own way. We parted ways peacefully.

After bidding farewell to the little snake, it was time to take a stroll and enjoy the atmosphere of the accommodation. It was incredibly lush.

This corner of the house by the stream sells coffee, but only on Saturdays and Sundays. I went on a weekday, so I missed out on trying it.

After a short walk, it was time for breakfast, which was served at the guesthouse as before.

One last glimpse before bidding farewell to the stream of joy.

When the time was right, we packed up and said goodbye to our jungle home by the stream. Before moving on to our next accommodation, we stopped for a delicious vegetarian noodle soup at Auntie Pen's restaurant near Wat Phai Lom.

The restaurant is crowded, and people are waiting for a long time. To kill time while waiting for theเย็นตาโฟ, I ordered a sละลอยแก้ว, deep-fried tofu, andขนมถ้วย.

Based on the widespread social media buzz, this restaurant is supposedly delicious. However, as someone with a shrimp, crab, and mantis shrimp allergy, I was limited to the plain fish ball noodles, which were underwhelmingly average. The only remarkable aspect was the seller's incredibly rude behavior, including taking the wrong order and then berating the customer. My sister, who can eat crab and mantis shrimp, enjoyed the freshness of the seafood, particularly the mantis shrimp. Here are a few photos of the unique dishes we tried.

After lunch, we stopped by the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, also known as the Mother of the Immaculate Conception Church, the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese, located near Jeh Pen's shop. We were only able to admire the beauty of the church for a short while because they were preparing the venue for an event the next day. We didn't want to stay there for too long, so we just took a few pictures.

From the Church of the Immaculate Conception, we headed to Aloha Homestay. Stay tuned for our review of our second night's accommodation in the next review. This review is all for now.
