This is a journey that collects photos from two consecutive trips to Mae Hong Son, with beautiful routes that make you forget the time and almost forget to breathe with the beauty of this small province surrounded by intricate mountains. The longer you stay here, the harder it is to resist going back. Everywhere you step, you will encounter the beauty of nature and a way of life that is hardly different from the past. What has changed are the buildings and houses that have been added and decorated to fit the times and surrounded by technology. But what remains the same is the way of life of the community, the culture of life of the people here.

Recommendations for traveling here. The 2 years I went, I came through Mae Rim District on Highway 1095, which will pass through Pai District. The popular tourist spots will have another route through Mae Chaem District, which will be longer because the route I took was a shorter cut. It was more difficult, but the view along the way was of alternating mountain ranges. The other route should be just as beautiful. I'll try it next time. The distance to Mae Rim should be around 200 kilometers. For me, 200 kilometers takes more than 6 hours because I stop to walk, take pictures, and admire the beautiful scenery along the way before continuing my journey. It took almost a full day to get there, but it was worth it to travel by private car because I had more time to enjoy the scenery. Or if you don't have much time to travel, you can take a small plane from Chiang Mai to get a different aerial view. But personally, I prefer taking pictures and looking at the scenery along the way, so I came by car.

The most interesting point, if you want to be trendy, is Pai district, but I only want it to be a stopover point. Because the real rest stop for taking pictures is the Doi Kiew Lom viewpoint, 30 kilometers from Pai. Don't miss it if you come to the right place. Every time you will see a beautiful view that hurts your heart.

It is best to drive because the reward for your tiredness is the beauty of nature, but also the way of life of the hill tribe people along the way. And we might make friends with people who are traveling to the same destination at rest stops. It can be said that every trip here is beautiful.

I visited this place over 10 years ago, but back then, I was still seeing life through the eyes of a teenager. This time, I returned with a more mature perspective, and it made me realize that I need to come back here again next year to soak in the peace and simplicity of the lives of the people there.

Even if you go for 2 years, you still won't be able to finish exploring this province.

Most people may travel for about 5-6 hours, but I personally traveled for almost a day because I stopped to take pictures everywhere that was beautiful. I'm not good at describing, so just look at the pictures. After driving through the curves for 90 kilometers, I stopped at the first place, Pai district.

After a break to rest and recharge, we continued our journey. The next stop before reaching Mae Hong Son was the most beautiful rest stop in Thailand.

Doi Kiew Lom is approximately 40 kilometers from Pai.

The third stop for taking pictures after descending from Doi Kiew Lom is the Mae Hong Son Rice Research Center, a plain in the middle of the mountains. If you come at the right time, the light will be very beautiful.

The last stop to rest at the sunset viewpoint at Pang Ma Pha Viewpoint. In fact, this point was once in a movie scene where Anada played a role where his girlfriend was sick and wouldn't wake up.

I arrived in Mae Hong Son province and walked the walking street and the evening of the street.

Morning and lifestyle of Mae Hong Son people, culture of dressing, food and eating

After breakfast, we're ready to go sightseeing! Starting at Pang Ung.

Next stop, let's find some food at Ban Rak Thai.

I'll continue later. I'm out for a bit. I'll be back to continue with Ban Liwaith Rak Thai. You don't have to stay overnight here. You can just drop by, take some pictures, and leave.

Since I'm already taking my girlfriend on a trip, I'll ask my senior to take some photos for me. I'll use them for my wedding at the end of this year.

After returning from Pang Ung, Ban Rak Thai, the way we will return to the city is to stop by the mud spa for a bit. Only 100 baht per person, let's soak in the mineral water.

Another place that you can't miss is the Sutongpe Bridge. You have to come during the rainy season to see the most beautiful scenery. If you come when the rain is gone, it's very hot.

Head back to the city, relax and stroll through the walking street, find something to eat along the way, and sit and soak up the atmosphere of the night here.

The name of this shop was written last year, and it is still in the same place.

It's past 8 pm and it's quiet here already.

Waking up early, I rushed to pay respects at Doi Kong Mu Temple, while gazing at the city of Mae Hong Son. The mist I encountered made the view even more beautiful.

Leaving Mae Hong Son now, with a view on the way back that perfectly matches the beautiful light.

The journey to this province takes almost a full day. There are many beautiful spots where you can park your car and take photos. Enjoy the view and find your own angles to capture the moment. Take your time and explore at your own pace. This will allow you to truly appreciate the beauty of the scenery and the sights before you. I must say that when I left Mae Hong Son town to return to Chiang Mai, I felt a pang of sadness. This is a province that is difficult to reach, with no large shopping malls. The fresh market and the agricultural market in the evening are the bread and butter of this place. And when the sun sets behind the mountains, a sense of peace and quiet descends. If you come here and don't fall in love with it, it's simply impossible.

The end ......
