The True Embodiment of ‘Home Away From Home’

If you are tired of the cookie-cutter accommodation, your spirit will absolutely rejoice at Casa Thorn. The rooms are full of character, eclectic and quirky, yet they ooze elegance and home comforts.

We stayed at the Moroccan Room while my friend stayed in the Bombay Room. We had the biggest room with the massive bath tub plus when you open the door it is the swimming pool!

We love the room, massive TV and bathroom, fridge, and even microwave! Simply put, this is the embodiment of ‘Home away from home’!

The Rooms

The Secret Garden Room – It feels like you are walking into a fairy tale getting into this room. Possibly the most popular room in Casa Thorn, the entrance is through a private courtyard, and it has its own walled-in garden. The room is Indonesian-inspired with two glass walls, and the shower opens to the small garden.

The Moroccan Room – Fit for a King and Queen, this romantic retreat has a King, hand-carved, four-poster bed with canopy, down pillows, and comforter. The mirrored bath has a separate shower and bidet, and a chandelier hangs over the oversized tub with jacuzzi. Tall glass doors lead to the pool.

The Malaysian Room – Next to the pool, this abode has a mini-kitchen, private bath, covered seating area, and large skylight.

The Bombay Room – Private and comfortable, this room is secluded and opens to the garden – perfect for quiet and leisurely breakfasts. It has a shared bath with the Tiki Hut.

The Tiki Hut – Adjacent to the Tiki Room, this small and cozy accommodation features a full-size bed and sits next to the garden.

Amenities common to all rooms at Casa Thorn are free Wi-Fi, large TV with cable channels and VCR and lots of movies, music CDs, terry cloth bathrobes, hair dryer, and iron.

The Facilities

One of the best things about a stay in Casa Thorn is you feel like you are so far away from everything. It is just really quiet, perfect if you are trying to unwind and relax. This is complemented by the facilities on-site including:

The Food

Breakfast is free, and it is really incredible! Our breakfast was prepared by Angela, the manager of the property, and it is the best! Massive portions as well: hot and fresh eggs, pancakes, and bacon for breakfast! We were able to skip lunch!

Area Guide

Founders Park Beach – A local favorite to escape the heat, this coconut lined beach has warm shallow water with no current, waves, or undertow. It is an ideal place to take the kids swimming. Snorkeling is also popular here. Come during the weekdays to avoid the crowds.
